Hi, my name is Sarah Cooke owner of Quirky Phoenix.

I was raised in an old Victorian house that needed a lot of Tender Loving Care. 

When we moved in it was like a time capsule from the 1920’s, literally nothing had been changed from the day it was made. Luckily for me my Father and Grandfather were engineers and particularly gifted when it came to

“thinking outside the box”

renovation.

I spent many happy hours helping with the projects and learning their skills.

​

Their Mantra 

​

“if a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing it well”.

These things stick with you, and I still live up to that today.

During my working life I have had many jobs but have always enjoyed renovating, repainting and creating

“something from nothing”

as a hobby.

​

When Covid hit I found myself without a job, so I decided to take the plunge and branch out on my own. My family have been incredibly supportive, and I can’t thank them enough for that.

I’ve always liked quirky things, and the Phoenix rising from the ashes and being re-born seemed very appropriate, both for me and the items I transform.
